A Glossary for EasyEnglish Authors
Mike Baker and Carol Betts
Extended Glossary combining original Biblical Glossary and many subsequent definitions as used by authors in their Word Lists
This glossary saves you the trouble of making up your own definition for a word shown with a *star in your work and put in a word list. But please try to keep your Word List very short.
You can use one of our definitions,
OR you can use part of one of ours e.g. prophet ~ a person who speaks for God. - end it there,
OR you can make up your own if preferred, provided of course, that your definition complies with EasyEnglish grammar and vocabulary rules.
The level is indicated in brackets between the ~ symbols.
Level A definitions could, of course, be used at Level B. Some Level B definitions might pass at level A, depending on the vocabulary used in them.
