Easy English definition for 'exile':

exile ~ (A) ~ away from your own country.

exile ~ (A) ~ people that have to leave their own land, often for a long time; the times when the Israelites went from the land of Israel .

exile ~ (B) ~ Enemies may force the people of a nation to leave their homes. The people then live 'in exile'. And the period until they return home is called 'the exile'. The Jews were in exile in Babylon at the time of the prophet Daniel.
