grape ~ (A) ~ a small, sweet fruit that people make a drink ( wine ) from.
grape ~ (A) ~ a fruit. People make a drink with alcohol from grapes.
grapes ~ (B) ~ Grapes were an important crop in ancient Israel. People eat them as fruit. Otherwise, people press the grapes to make juice. At first, the juice is very sweet and contains no alcohol. People sometimes called the juice 'new wine'. People used to use animal skins like bottles to store the juice. In time, the alcohol increases to make wine.
