lot ~ (A) ~ people used it to find what people or things God had chosen.
lot ~ (B) ~ means of reaching a fair decision.
lots ~ (B) ~ a set of objects by which to choose something by chance.
lots ~ (B) ~ Lots are a game of chance. People also used to use lots when they needed to make an important decision. They would ask God to guide them. Then they would use the lots to make the decision. Christians do not usually use lots today, because we have God's Holy Spirit to guide us.
