love feasts ~ (A) ~ love feasts were meetings of Christians many years ago. At these meetings, they ate together to show their love for each other.
love feasts ~ (B) ~ meetings of Christians when they ate together as a sign of their love for each other. Everyone brought something to eat and shared what they had.
love feasts ~ (B) ~ Paul stopped these meals when they became an excuse for bad behaviour in 1 Corinthians chapter 11. He told the Christians simply to share a little bread and wine to remember Jesus' death, instead. Today we call this 'communion '.
