March 2010: Christ in Mark's Gospel: A new Bible Commentary This is a new EasyEnglish Bible Commentary on Mark's Gospel, in very simple English (1200 word vocabulary). It can be downloaded free of charge from the EasyEnglish website.
November 2009: A simple Bible Commentary on 2 Chronicles Our new Bible Commentary on 2 Chronicles is by established EasyEnglish author, Ian Mackervoy. In this first part (chapters 1 to 9), Ian examines the life and achievements of King Solomon, builder of the first temple in Jerusalem.
October 2009: "God is with us": Isaiah chapters 7 to 12 The second instalment of Gordon Churchyard's commentary on Isaiah deals with several important Messianic prophecies. Gordon shows the nature of Isaiah's prophecy, and its powerful poetic style in a series of fascinating studies.
September 2009: Gordon Churchyard's commentary on Isaiah Gordon is one of the most popular EasyEnglish authors, due to his outstanding work on the Psalms. His most recent book is on the Old Testament Prophecy of Isaiah, and has been several years in preparation. It will be published in sections, as each part becomes available. This first part, chapters 1 to 6, shows how Isaiah began to prophesy.
August 2009: The Bible's Love Poem Keith Simons is already the author of one of our commentaries on the Song of Songs. With this new publication, he adds another commentary about this Bible book. This one is intended to provide a simpler introduction to the Song, emphasising key points and allowing readers to study the book with an open mind as to its meaning.
April 2009: 1 Chronicles: EasyEnglish Bible Commentary Ian Mackervoy has written a new Bible Commentary on the Book of 1 Chronicles. In it, he explains not just the passages about King David, but also the lists of names that people often find difficult to understand. His whole book is in straightforward, readable English using just a basic vocabulary, so it is especially easy to understand.
March 2009: New Bible Commentary on 2 Kings The events surrounding the end of the kingdoms of Judah and Israel contain many important lessons for people today. In this new commentary, downloadable free from the EasyEnglish website, we explore these events and the lives of the kings and prophets associated with them.
February 2009: New Online Bible Commentary on Numbers Marion Adams is well-known to our EasyEnglish readership for her clarity of language and valuable explanations. Now, for the first time, she has applied her writing skills to an Old Testament book. She takes the reader on a journey, with Moses and the Israelites, through the desert, learning lessons about God on the way to the Promised Land.
October 2008: Understanding Ezekiel's temple: a new Bible Commentary The vision of a new temple at the end of Ezekiel is one of the most challenging, but important, passages in the Old Testament. In this new commentary, Keith Simons examines the text of Ezekiel's vision in an expository manner, and examines its practical meaning for believers today.
September 2008: A new Bible Commentary on the Book of Jude Norman Hillyer, theologian and author, has written a new EasyEnglish Bible Commentary on the Book of Jude. The Book of Jude is one of Norman's areas of special interest, so this commentary (available as a free download from the EasyEnglish website) will be eagerly read by many users of our website.
August 2008: Ezekiel: a translation and commentary in simple English With the publication of the final instalment, Ian Mackervoy's EasyEnglish commentary on the major prophetic book of Ezekiel is now complete. In this final part, Ezekiel sees beyond the desperate state of his people to an inspired vision of a new temple and a new land; which Ian understands to be a prophecy of God's plans for the future of Israel.
June 2008: A new Bible Commentary on the Book of Ezra Robert Bryce has written a series of EasyEnglish Bible Commentaries on the Babylonian exile in Jewish history; covering the Bible books of Daniel, Nehemiah, and Esther. With the launch of his new commentary on Ezra, the entire series is available for free download from the EasyEnglish website.
April 2008: Bible Commentary: Ezekiel 25 to 39 The latest instalment of Ian Mackervoy's commentary on the Biblical prophet Ezekiel has now been published on the EasyEnglish website. The new section is about God's plans for Israel and the other nations.
January 2008: A new Bible Commentary: Ezekiel We are pleased to announce the publication of a new Bible Commentary in EasyEnglish, which may be downloaded free from the EasyEnglish website. The new commentary covers the challenging Biblical prophecy of Ezekiel chapters 1 to 24; and examines the reasons why God's glory departed from Solomon's temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Babylonian exile.
October 2007: Norman Hillyer's new Bible Commentary on Isaiah One of the outstanding EasyEnglish publications for 2007 has been Theologian Norman Hillyer's new Bible Commentary on Isaiah, which is published exclusively on the EasyEnglish website, and available for free download worldwide. The final instalment has now been completed.
September 2007: 1 Kings - a new Bible Commentary We are very pleased to announce the publication of a major new book in EasyEnglish. Philip Smith's new Bible Commentary on the Old Testament Book of 1 Kings covers the events in Israel and Judah from the anointing of Solomon until the death of Ahab. It explains each event in simple English, with explanation and analysis of the lessons that can be learned from these events.
July 2007: The Suffering Servant The latest section of Norman Hillyer's commentary on Isaiah includes the famous prophecy of Isaiah 53 - essential reading to understand this chapter. Also in this section are chapters 49 to 57 inclusive.
July 2007: Comfort for God's people Theologian Norman Hillyer's EasyEnglish commentary on Isaiah continues with chapters 40 to 48.
July 2007: Haggai; now through advanced checking Gordon Churchyard's commentary on the Book of Haggai has recently been revised, and has now passed its advanced theological check.
June 2007: EasyEnglish New Testament Bible Commentary We are pleased to announce that, with the publication of our new commentary on the Book of Romans, we now have commentaries and translations in our Leader's EasyEnglish series available for every book of the New Testament. All of these books (plus many Old Testament commentaries too) may be downloaded free of charge from the EasyEnglish Website.
June 2007: New Romans Commentary This is a new translation of the Book of Romans, with commentary on each verse by Hilda Bright and Keith Simons. It provides detailed comment and analysis of this important Bible book.
March 2007: Daniel: revised commentary We have recently revised this commentary and its translated Bible text.
February 2007: Nahum, Habakkuk and Zephaniah This commentary contains linked commentaries on these three prophetic books, and has now passed its advanced theological check.
February 2007: Ruth: There is a redeemer This commentary by Gordon Churchyard has now passed its advanced theological check.
February 2007: Isaiah: God controls the nations We are pleased to announce the publication of Norman Hillyer's commentary on Isaiah chapters 1 to 39. Norman was formerly Librarian at Tyndale House, Cambridge and has acted as editor and author of published commentaries and other theological publications. We are delighted to publish his work on this important prophetic book.
January 2007: Micah: a message from God to the nations We are delighted to announce the launch of a new commentary by Les Painter, on the Book of Micah. This commentary is at level B (2800 word vocabulary), and provides detailed verse-by-verse comments and analysis of this important book of prophecy.

November 2006: John's Good News We are very pleased to announce the publication of a wonderful new Bible Commentary on the Gospel of John. The commentary is by Marion Adams and includes a translated text of the full book, together with a detailed and helpful commentary. The book uses a 2800 word vocabulary.

September 2006: Philippians - revised commentary Our commentary on Paul's letter to the Philippians has now undergone detailed revision. This is a Bible Commentary with a simple translation, using a 2800 word vocabulary.
July 2006: Revelation: From Now to the End of Time In our new commentary, 'From Now to the End of Time', Ian Mackervoy provides verse-by-verse analysis of the Book of Revelation. This challenging book describes God's plans for the future. It explains how, in the end, God will overcome Satan and create a new heaven and earth as a home for his people, forever.
May 2006: A new commentary on the Book of Genesis "It all begins with God" is the title of our new commentary on the Book of Genesis, written by Marie Wetherill and Keith Simons. This commentary includes a new level B (2800 word vocabulary) translation; and notes on the whole book.
April 2006: Mark's Gospel: revised commentary Last month we completed our work on our simple Translation of Mark's Gospel. But for those who want to understand the Gospel in more detail, we have now published a new edition of our Bible Commentary on Mark. This book has been carefully revised and has passed its advanced theological check.
March 2006: Galatians: Are Christians slaves to a set of Rules? Are Christians slaves to a set of Rules? Many non-Christians think so.
