EasyEnglish Semantically Analyzed Texts (SAT Series)

ee

----------

This is a series of Bible Versions produced for mother tongue translators who speak English as a foreign language. These are all written in Level B EasyEnglish (2800 words). Their purpose is to make the meaning intended by the original writers much clearer by making information that is implicit in the original Greek explicit in simple English.

The idea of these materials is to help Second Language English speakers. We want them to help people who speak less English. You should use them together with any other standard English translations or commentaries that you have available. We do not intend that you should use our version alone. Bible Translators should not use these documents as their only starting point for a new translation into another language.

We have found it to be the consistent view of experienced translators that the logical connection of thoughts is very important in bible translation. For this reason, these documents contain, in places, sentences that are slightly more complex than a strict interpretation of EasyEnglish grammar rules would allow.

The files are either HTML or RTF format. If you are not sure which format you want or how to download a file, see Downloading EasyEnglish Publications.
